Layer Wizard is an ArcGIS extension that provides a simplified user interface for organizing, identifying, loading and symbolizing spatial data. The user can select one or more layers to load and select from multiple predefined symbologies for each layer. Database management of metadata makes Layer Wizard ideal for deployment in complex enterprise implementations. Compatible with ArcSDE, personal geodatabases, coverages and folders containing shapefiles, Layer Wizard can be installed to replace the classic “Add Data” button, or can be invoked from its own button in the ArcGIS user interface. A separate ArcGIS extension, the Layer Wizard Administrator, controls the configuration of the main user interface of Layer Wizard.
